HOPE IN HANDBALL: Oct 19-20, 2007 (FUNDRAISER)

Show your stripes and come to the Harrisburg Mall (located on I-83 & Paxton St.) and support the Hope in Handball, Cancer, andCulture benefit. This exhibition is a 24-hour handball marathon beginning Friday, Oct. 19th at 5:00 pm and ending October 20th as it raises awareness of Carcinoid Cancer and related neuroendocrine cancers and generates funds to support the educational endeavors of PCCAN.

This event is being held in memory of Donna Gibson, a carcinoid patient whose premature death in June inspired her family and friends to raise funds furthering Carcinoid Cancer education and awareness efforts in Pennsylvania.

Advocates will attempt to set a Guinness World Record ™, and there will be plenty of news coverage and observers. PCCAN will have a booth at this event and will need members to attend the booth, hand-out information and awareness merchandise to passers-by and chat with people who stop by. This is a great opportunity for some multi-generational bonding for those with children or grandchildren and PCCAN members are encouraged to invite friends and family to participate. There is a place for everyone at this ‘round-the-clock event!

Please contact PCCAN with any questions and join me for some fun while we create carcinoid awareness and raise funds for carcinoid education in the midstate.
